World of Warcraft is a massively multiplayer online role playing game. Launched in 2004, it has become one of the most popular online games in the world. It currently has over 11.5 million subscribers making it the most popular MMO of its type in the world. Warcraft has also taken hold of popular culture, with references to the game appearing on television, books, and movies.
In the game, players control characters in the world of Azeroth. They accept quests, battle monsters, fight against other players, or join groups to adventure through dungeons. Players create a character by selecting a race and character class. Neither of these attributes can be changed later, but players can create as many characters as they choose. Each class has its own unique abilities. Some classes focus on magic and spell casting, while others fight with weapons and armor. Characters advance through experience levels by completing quests or killing enemies. Content in the game is organized by level, with different zones intended for different level characters.
World of Warcraft has two expansions: The Burning Crusade and The Wrath of the Lich King. A third expansion, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is in development.

 Dalaran is a city of mages that floats above the Crystalsong Forest. As the only capital city in Northrend, it severs as the center of adventuring for the entire continent. As such, it is the busiest and most popular place in all of Azeroth. Although not as large as other capital cities, Dalaran has more than enough amenities for adventures. The city has four inns, three banks, over a dozen mailboxes, and vendors of every type. Portals allow easy transport to every other capital city, and to the battlegrounds of Wintergrasp. Like the capital of Outlands, Shattrath City, Dalaran lacks auction houses and class trainers. But there are a few exceptions. Mage trainers reside in Dalaran since it’s a city of mages. Grand Master Engineers can access the auction house through a steam-powered auctioneer. Because to Dalaran is a floating city, getting there the first time can be tricky. Most players will have to wait until level 74 when they can use a teleporter in the Crystalsong Forest. There are however a few tricks to get there earlier. Once players have visited they can travel to the city via filghtpath or hearthstone. But Dalaran isn't all mages and roses. The sewers of Dalaran, called the Underbelly, host a black market, dueling rings, and an arena. But even here you'll find some civilization. Cantrips and Crows, one of the city's inns, is located here, along with one of the banks.
