City Assignments
Side Quests or Side Missions are considered Assignments in game. If you pause the game, enter the Journal section, then flip the tap to the right of Missions (main story) you'll find a list of your active Assignments. These are optional tasks that you can undertake to earn more experience, credits, minerals, and even morality points. These assignments are broken into two categories, City or N7. City Assignments can be discovered by exploring and speaking with various people in any number of locations throughout the galaxy. They will be broken up by location down below.
Here you'll find a breakdown of all the city assignments. Since the Normandy is the first location with possible assignments, it is listed first. Below the Normandy however, the locations will be listed alphabetically. Know that most City Assignments will be end in a moral choice that will grant you either Paragon or Renegade points depending on your actions.

Simply travel there and then visit Kenn's Salvage to the east of Afterlife. If you want to pay a bit less for the FBA Couplings, complete the Struggling Quarian side quest first. Either way, purchase the couplings then return them to the engineers aboard the Normandy. They will then invite you to a play a card game with them. If you choose either of the left side (extreme) dialogue responses you will win 500 credits. Just know that your choice will affect whether you get positive or negative moral points from the game (blue means Paragon points red means Renegade points).
